Everybody's Got a Problem - Get the Help You Need
Mission Statement
Your Healing Space Bungendore is a safe space where all individuals are welcome and valued. Our principal therapist, Michele Bland (Shel), is neurodiverse and neuroaffirming, bringing a unique perspective and compassionate approach to her work. As a developmental educator and holistic counsellor, Shel provides down-to-earth help, behavioural intervention, and supportive care in a relatable way.
All YHS staff are trauma-informed, a framework that means we're careful and considerate in how we work with you, helping you to tackle challenges and work towards healing without feeling overwhelmed or re-traumatised. We're here to guide you in a way that feels safe and empowering.
As an extension of our counselling practices and NDIS services, we offer a community space for connection and exploration. We invite you to shop at our store featuring local artists, and join us for workshops and events that nurture well-being and community.
Arson Response
Our business premises, Your Healing Space Bungendore, was tragically burned down in a fire started by an arsonist, leaving us devastated. As a safe space for many, we provided a haven for healing and growth. The person responsible underestimated the strength and resilience of our collective spirit. We have come to realise that our true safe space was not confined in the physical walls - it is the bond and support within our community that truly matters. We are already rising from the ashes. To help process our emotions and find solace, I have created an online space on Facebook for us to express our feelings. This platform will serve as an outlet, allowing us to heal together, and potentially be used in loss impact statements when justice is served.
