Our principal therapist, Michele Bland (Shel), is neurodiverse and neuroaffirming, bringing a unique perspective and compassionate approach to her work. As a developmental educator and holistic counsellor, Shel provides down-to-earth help, behavioural intervention, and supportive care in a relatable way.

Cameron Bland (Cam), our therapy assistant and peer mentor, works primarily with children and teenagers on the autism spectrum and their parents. As an autistic individual himself, Cameron possesses a unique ability to bridge the gap between autistic and neurotypical minds. His personal insights and exceptional rapport with our clients have proven to be invaluable, enabling personalised support and understanding in their therapeutic journeys.

All YHS staff are trauma-informed, a framework that means we're careful and considerate in how we work with you, helping you to tackle challenges and work towards healing without feeling overwhelmed or re-traumatised. We're here to guide you in a way that feels safe and empowering.

At YHS, we offer a range of services beyond individual counselling, including:

We also offer a Premium Care Plan Package: up to 2 hours of therapy per week for $500/month.

Our practice focuses on preventative mental healthcare, and we prioritise clients who commit to regular bookings. Availability for 2026 is limited. Feel free to book in if you think we may be right for you and can find a session that works for your schedule.
